The ceramics are made
of high-fired porcelain fired to cone nine in an electric kiln. My hand made one of a kind ceramic work explores texture,
form, line and color. In addition to traditional wheel thrown pottery, I work with slabs
or a combination of both techniques. The unique colorful glazes were been developed through numerous
experiments and glaze trials. The glazes used on functional pieces are food safe and most pieces will go through the
dishwasher successfully.
All my Icons are painted in the Byzantine style using
traditional techniques in egg tempera, on wood panel with pure gold for halos and other accents. My Icons being
used in Churches and in private homes. |
